About Sekimori Stones...
These stones are placed at stepping stones or forked paths in tea gardens. In tea ceremony etiquette, they signify to guests, “Please refrain from entering beyond this point.” This led to their name, Sekimori (gatekeeper) stones.
Because they indicate restricted access, they are now also used as protective barriers or charms to ward off negative energies.
